Off The Grid Food Truck Festival. CurryUpNow’s curried chicken, Chef Tom Pizzica’s (Next Food Network Star & host of Outrageous Foods) pork belly burger, Malaysian pumpkin & sesame fritters, variety empanadas, vanilla bean creme brulee & a salted caramel & chocolate cupcake.

Waking up to sunshine beaming in from 4 bay windows in our corner room of the Parc55. Overlooking the heart of SF at the trolley turnaround at Powell & Market. Falling asleep to trolley bells.

Saturday morning Farmers Market at the Ferry Building, one of the largest markets in the country. Many free samples & many souvenirs.

Vino & Veggies

    Sunny Saturday afternoon dine & drive through St. Helena, Napa Valley

We began our Napa style picnic with wine tastings at the beautifully blooming V. Sattui Winery. Our favorite bottle came with us to the courtyard to follow the smell of barbeque. Since we couldn’t decide between porchetta, jalapeno kabobs, & the mozzarella bar, we ordered all.. this does count as vacation, afterall. I fell in love with the fresh mozzarella & heirloom tomatoes under the branches of gigantic climbing trees. After a little more wine, we spent the next two hours driving up & down the little road that splits the vineyards of Napa Valley. In Love With Napa.

Taco Trucks

                                                   Taco Truck Festival: San Jose, CA

A tour around the world via taco tastings. Indian, Cajun, Seafood, Greek, Thai, Chinese & of course, Mexican. With very full bellies, we decided our favorite taste was from CurryUpNow, a pork belly curry taco; although the New Orleans truck’s bread pudding taco was a close second.
